Bachar Farms was established in 1860, but the main house was built in 1985 and completely remodeled up to 2015.   Beautiful hardwood floors, bright  colors  and welcoming wall art will make you feel right at home.   The Living room has a sofa, two chairs, an electric fireplace, DVD and book library.   A spinet piano is waiting for someone to play.  Outside the large windows are great views of the farm and forest.

The stove room is a second living room on the main floor.  With an authentic woodburning Vermont stove, it's a great place to curl up on a fall or winter night.   Also in the stove room is a beautiful antique dry bar for your use.

                                                       Kitchen

The country kitchen is bright and airy with all the expected appliances: refrigerator, stove, oven, toaster, blender etc.   What you don’t expect is what is in the cupboards.  Paul doesn’t believe that a vacation should be a chore.  Therefore we provide lots of staples and sundries:  paper products, plastic silverware, ketchup, mustard etc.   We once rented a house in Hilton Head that didn’t have a salt and pepper shaker much less condiments.   So we provide many products for our guests to share, including Kuerig coffee

A nice breakfast table and chairs offer a great morning view of the farm.  Off the kitchen is a powder  room and  a laundry room equipped with a washer, dryer and detergent.  The bathrooms at Bachar's Farm are in the process of being upgraded this summer/fall.   They're clean but will be upgraded this fall.

The dining room  has a harvest  table for eight.  If you don’t want to cook, we have an arrangement with an executive chef for you.  For details on catering, please go to the “Wedding” page.

Grandma’s Room is a queen sized bedroom on the first floor with easy access for those who can’t get around like they used to.  Also, there is a neat ladder loft where the kids can play; George has left the kids crayon drawings on the walls up in the loft as a memory from years ago.  Please be careful with little ones up in the loft and please let Grandma sleep.

The guest room on the first floor is a single trundle bed that’s great for an afternoon nap.  There’s also a desk and chairs for those who have to do some quiet  internet work while they are on vacation.  But you won’t feel all locked up, the great window views will help you do your work and relax at the same time.

The second floor master suite has a queen sized bed, two sink bathroom with tub/shower .   We provide linens and towels.

There’s also sliding glass doors which not only offer you a great view directly from the master bed but lead you to the master balcony.  This is the perfect place for you to drink your coffee in the morning while you catch up on the day’s news.  It’s also the spot for a glass of a Finger Lakes wine as you wind down before bed time.

The second kids room has two twin beds.  Pretty standard and straight forward.

But there’s nothing standard about the view overlooking the hen house.  Unfortunately the kids will be the first to hear the rooster crow in the morning. (sorry)

The lower level master is perfect for a second or third family.  The master is a queen and the second room is a twin.  With two bedrooms and a bath on each of the three levels, the main house is very flexible for many types of guest arrangements.  The basement bedrooms are currently suitable for sleeping but there are plans for renovation in the future.

The media room is a quiet, secluded place for satellite television or movies.  George supplies you with over 100 DVD titles.  There is also a selection of board games and a craft table.
